After obtaining her qualification in 2005 from The British School of Osteopathy in London, Lucy Rayner studied Classical Osteopathy at The Institute of Classical Osteopathy. She has worked closely with ballet dancers, pitchside with sports, football rugby and athletics teams and professional players for a number of years, and currently works with calisthenics athletes.
She went on to specialise in family health, obtaining a specialism in Classical Osteopathy, the Diploma of Paediatric Osteopathy in 2018 with The Osteopathic Centre for Children and completed in 2021 the Diploma in Women’s Health Osteopathy with the Molinari Institute of Health.
Lucy is dedicated to whole family health, treating men’s and women’s issues such as pelvic health, urogenital and gynaecological dysfunction and care for pregnancy, postpartum and the newborn. Lucy uses all osteopathic techniques cranial, visceral, classical to create a tailored and bespoke treatment to address each unique indidual.
Lucy enjoys the varied work that osteopathy can bring addressing whole body issues in a holistic approach to preventative healthcare, and works alongside dentists for management and treatment of cranial and dental strains occurring through compromised airway health, malocclusion, trauma, tongue tie and birth strains. Lucy works closely with Lactation Consultants for assessment and treatment of infants with feeding difficulties and digestive issues, including specialist team care and referral for tongue tie.
Lucy has also undergone courses with Osteopaths for Headaches and Migraines for specialist care and treatment.
including Women's Health and rehabilitation "The Mummy MOT" and further courses for Men's Health, including pelvic health.
Lucy’s special interests are airway, nutritional and organ health, trauma and stress within the body, and how our birth and development in infancy affects our health trajectory with growth through adolescence into adulthood, and how preventative healthcare can prevent chronic issues we frequently face in our adult lives with optimal health as the goal.
Lucy is an alumni member of The Institute of Classical Osteopathy, The Foundation of Paediatric Osteopathy, and Molinari Institute of Health, and is registered by The General Osteopathic Council and on the register of the Institute of Classical Osteopathy and is a member of Institute of Osteopathy.
Lucy is registered with The General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), and The Institute of Classical Osteopathy (ICO), and is a member of the Institute of Osteopathy (iO).
