The aim of Osteopathic treatment is to educate the individual about health and disease, and how your body works, in order to pass on the capability for you to look after yourself, and take the right steps to maintain your health day by day.

Osteopaths use a holistic approach to healthcare, which involves looking at your complete lifestyle to determine how situations have arisen to cause pain, and how this has impacted on you making further and continued changes to your optimal physical and emotional health. In our diagnosis we assess which factors have contributed to lead up to the current situation and the most recent episode of recurrent pain, we also find how your posture, habits or other causes are preventing healing and maintaining your condition.

Our bodies hold all stress and strain patterns that have occurred through repetition of activity from work or exercise, or from injuries, traumas or falls having occurred many years before.  Many long term issues are treated very successfully and quickly with appropriate Osteopathic treatment, to decompress the spine and joints to restore freedom of movement and function.

The length of a course of treatment varies in each case, depending on the severity of the problem, how long term the issues are, and how quickly the individual responds.

Treatments are usually at weekly intervals, until relief and progress is sufficient to extend to monthly or quarterly sessions.
Check ups are advised annually for maintenance and to resolve accumulations of strain patterns, to avoid further problems occurring.
